MEET ANTHONY

MY JOURNEY INTO BECOMING A PHOTOGRAPHER BEGAN....

In high school I took an elective course that taught me the fundamentals of photography and videography. Even though, from what I can remember it was just the basics I still associate my desire to know more, learn more, and pursue the possibilities of developing my craft to that experience. I don't know how to describe the feeling. But it was something about being able to capture a moment in time and being able to take small clips and turn them into a short video that was so intriguing.

I still remember buying throw away cameras and having to go to the store to have the film developed. I know what you're thinking, but I'm not that old. lol Of course, with the advancement of technology the possibilities are now endless; that is the reason a hobby turned into a purposeful and passionate life goal. Since, we are forever evolving with time my goal is to deliver the visual timeline that directly correlates to some of the best experiences of your life.

Where I am from

I grew up in Philadelphia, PA and I have lived here for the majority of my life. So, you know that means I am die-hard fan of all of my Philly sports teams starting with the E-A-G-L-E-S! My wife often says " the world stops on game day", but I will not deny nor agree with that statement. If you know you know.... I could watch sports all day.

Where Shantee and I met?

Shantee and I met working together in a senior living facility in 2008. I showed her the ropes when she first started and the rest is history. We have been married for almost 10 years and together for almost 14 years.

Do you have children?

Yes, I have twin toddlers who were born in 2018.

What I do outside of being a photographer

In 2013, I joined the U.S. Navy. I take great pride in serving my country and I'm honored to serve.

My favorite movie?

Coming to America

Now let's get to the good stuff !!!

I've been sky diving twice once in San Diego, CA and once in Dubai, UAE.

I threw out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres baseball game.

I fed a white kangaroo in Australia.

I drove an RV across Northern Italy for 30 days straight.

I hiked Three Peaks Mountain in the Italian Dolomites.

My Reason Why..

Shantee

My wife, best friend, and the mother of our beautiful twins. Shantee is truly my better half. After almost 14 years together I can say with confidence that we both made the right decision. Shantee is very creative, loving, smart, and she is a great writer. She loves bargain shopping, painting used furniture, crafting, and decorating. Oh, and I almost forgot to add; she is obsessed with matching outfits. She would be completely content if we all wore the same colors every single day. Haha Her favorite line is "if we aren't matching we aren't together". lol Although, we aren't always matching we are definitely still together!

Zaire

Zaire, Zaire, Zaire....my boy! I still can't believe I finally have a son. Growing up I always wanted to have a son to teach him about sports, help him learn to ride a bike, and to teach him what it means to lead by example. Although, Zaire is much more cautious than his sister he is slowly starting to be much more adventurous. Zaire is smart, outgoing, caring, talkative, and he is so affectionate. He loves trucks, cars, trains, legos, and superhero's. Zaire also loves to race I imagine him being a track star when he gets older.

Zaniya

Where shall I start?! When I think of Zaniya the first word that comes to mind is "bossy" but not in a negative way. She just knows what she wants and she is not going to let anyone stop her! To our surprise Zaniya somehow was the first to be born, even though Zaire was positioned to come out first the day the twins were born. She is so outgoing, funny, independent, helpful, daring, and she has so much personality. My wife and I both agree that she is Zaire's "little" mommy because of how protective she is over her brother/best friend. Zaniya loves dogs, unicorns, dancing, and "Hey Gabby".

Shantee

Initially, I started picking up the camera to try and take photos of my husband and children while on vacation. Then I noticed that the more I picked up the camera to practice taking "good" photos the more my desire grew to learn about photography. My mindset then shifted to learning the art of taking quality photographs that tell a story that I truly am honored to be a part of creating. I guess it was bound to happen when your husband has so much gear available and always has his camera with him.Haha But in all seriousness as a person who throughly enjoys the process of how things come together visually I find photography to be the paint to my brush.

I am creative.

I love to laugh and have fun.

I need coffee!
